Venue
BFDG 2025 will take place in the Humanities Lecture Theatre (Lecture Theatre B.H05) in the Arts Complex of the University of Bristol campus (a 360o tour of the conference venue is available here).
The lecture theatre is accessed via the main entrance at 7 Woodland Road. Proceed right, through to the main atrium area and the lecture theatre is ahead. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
Our conference catering will be provided by Kate’s Kitchen who pride themselves in offering quality catering while carefully considering their environmental footprint.
Getting to the University of Bristol campus
Detailed travel information about how to get to Bristol and how to get to the University campus once you are in Bristol is available from the following website – https://www.bristol.ac.uk/maps/directions/
Conference dinner
The conference dinner will be held in the evening of Thursday 24 April in the Aquam Bibe Suite of the Hotel du Vin Bristol Avon Gorge hotel. We have chosen this venue since it is nearby to the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge and has a roof terrace to enjoy the views. A dinner ticket will cost £67.50 and will include a three course meal (starter, main and dessert), together with either an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks package.
Accommodation
Please make your own booking for accommodation. There are many hotels within the city to suit a range of budgets. Here is a useful link for local accommodation options; https://visitbristol.co.uk/accommodation/ . Note that the address for the venue is 7 Woodland Rd, Bristol BS8 1TB should you wish to use a comparison website and book accommodation nearby. The conference dinner venue also offers accommodation. We strongly advise booking accommodation early to avoid disappointment.
